Hot rolled strip refers to the strip and sheet produced by hot rolling.
Hot rolled strip refers to the strip and sheet produced by hot rolling. The general thickness is 1.2 ~ 8mm. The strip with a width of less than 600mm is called narrow strip steel, and the one with a width of more than 600mm is wide strip steel.
Hot rolled strip steel generally refers to the thickness of 1 ~ 20mm rolled strip steel, the width is generally 600 ~ 2000mm. Hot-rolled strip steel can be used directly as hot-rolled steel, or cold-rolled strip steel can be supplied as billet. Widely used in automobile, motor, chemical industry, shipbuilding and other industrial sectors, but also as cold rolled, welded pipe, cold formed steel production blank. Hot strip continuous rolling mill is the main equipment for hot strip production, which has the advantages of high production efficiency, high output and good quality.
There are four types of hot strip rolling according to product width and production process: wide strip hot rolling, wide reversible hot rolling, narrow strip hot rolling and hot rolling with planetary mill. Strip steel materials are common carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel and silicon steel. It is mainly used as raw material for cold rolled strip steel, welded pipe, cold bending and welded section steel or to make various components.
Production characteristics
Plate and belt products have flat shape, large width to thickness ratio, and large surface area per unit volume. This shape feature brings the following characteristics to its use:
(1) The surface area is large, so the inclusion and coverage ability is strong, and it is widely used in chemical industry, containers, construction, metal products, metal structures, etc.
(2) can be arbitrarily cut, bent, stamping, welding, made into a variety of product components, flexible and convenient to use, in the automotive, aviation, shipbuilding and automobile manufacturing and other departments occupy an extremely important position.
(3) It can be bent and welded into various types of complex sections of steel, steel pipes, large I-beams, channel steel and other structural parts, so it is called "universal steel".
The production of plate and strip has the following characteristics:
(1) Plate and strip are rolled out with flat rolls, so it is simple and easy to change product specifications, convenient to adjust the operation, easy to achieve comprehensive computer control and automated production.
(2) The strip has a simple shape, can be rolled into production, and has the largest amount in the national economy, so it must and can achieve high speed continuous rolling production.
(3) Due to the wide thickness ratio and surface area are very large, so the rolling pressure in the production is very large, up to millions to tens of millions of newtons, so the rolling mill equipment is complex and huge, and the product thickness, width size accuracy and plate shape and surface quality control has become very difficult and complex.
