On the other hand, hot-dip galvanized technology and technology conversion rate are low in our country, difficult to form an industry. These problems are mainly based on the production technology and equipment development ability of hot-dip galvanized steel plate for high-performance automobile in our country lags behind the advanced level in the world. At present, the domestic production technology and equipment of hot galvanized steel plate for high performance automobile mainly rely on the introduction of foreign advanced technology. At present, only Baosteel has carried out some product-specific research on the production and development of automobile plate. Other enterprises that introduce hot galvanized steel plate production line for high performance automobile basically just produce and use. Iron and Steel Research Institute as the earliest research unit into the field of continuous hot dipping steel strip, in the 1970s to assist Wuhan Iron and Steel to introduce the first domestic hot-dip galvanizing unit. During the following "Seventh Five-Year Plan" and "Eighth Five-Year Plan", the General Institute of Iron and Steel Research successfully completed the development and scientific research of Galfan and Gavalume alloy coatings. Subsequently, the General Institute of Iron and Steel Research carried out the localization work of continuous hot dip plating equipment of steel strip, and completed the localization of key equipment such as air knife, welding machine, submerged roll (Galvalume use) and gas purification device in collaboration with relevant domestic units. In recent years, the General Iron and Steel Research Institute has always adhered to the combination of advanced scientific research and development and practicability in these fields. It has successfully developed the regenerative reduction annealing furnace with combustion efficiency of more than 70%. Continuous hot dip Gavalume alloy plating technology for wide strip steel was developed and popularized. Regenerative folding reduction annealing furnace was designed and completed. The middle current density electrolytic degreasing technology is designed and developed, and the ZAM series products with the highest corrosion resistance abroad are closely tracked, and the pilot test is completed.

There is a small 100mm wide test unit in the General Iron and Steel Research Institute, in which GF, GL and hot plating Al-Si alloy coatings have been successfully developed. Iron and Steel Research Institute now has complete laboratory conditions, can be used for the test of hot-dip galvanized products.

At present, the development of hot galvanized sheet technology and equipment for high-performance automobile is still in a relatively weak state. The main domestic units involved in this field are mainly large iron and steel enterprise technology centers and some universities also carry out some exploratory or testing scientific research activities.
