Recently, the World Steel Association (WSA) released data on global crude steel production for June. In June, the crude steel output of 64 countries and regions included in the World Steel Association’s statistics was 167.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%. In the first half of the year, the total crude steel output of 64 countries and regions included in the global statistics reached 1.003 billion tons, an increase of 14.4% year-on-year, setting a record for the largest increase in recent years.

In June, crude steel production in Asia and Oceania was 122.5 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%; EU crude steel production was 13.2 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 34.7%; North America crude steel production was 10 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 45.2%; South America Crude steel output was 3.9 million tons, an increase of 51.3% year-on-year; crude steel output in the Middle East was 3.6 million tons, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year; crude steel production in the CIS was 8.9 million tons, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year.

From the perspective of the top ten steel producing countries (regions), in June, crude steel production in Mainland China was 93.9 million tons, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year; crude steel production in India was 9.4 million tons, an increase of 21.4% year-on-year; crude steel production in Japan was 810 10,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 44.4%; U.S. crude steel production was 7.1 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 44.4%; Russian crude steel production is expected to be 6.4 million tons, an increase of 11.4% year-on-year; South Korea’s crude steel production was 6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.3% ; Turkey’s crude steel production was 3.4 million tons, an increase of 38.2% year-on-year; German crude steel production was 3.4 million tons, an increase of 17.9% year-on-year; Brazil’s crude steel production was 3.1 million tons, an increase of 45.2% year-on-year; Iran’s crude steel output was 2.5 million Tons, an increase of 1.9% year-on-year.
