In June, the crude steel output of 64 countries and regions included in the World Steel Association’s statistics was 167.9 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%. In the first half of the year, the total crude steel output of 64 countries and regions included in the global statistics reached 1.003 billion tons, an increase of 14.4% year-on-year, setting a record for the largest increase in recent years.
In June, crude steel production in Asia and Oceania was 122.5 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%; EU crude steel production was 13.2 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 34.7%; North America crude steel production was 10 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 45.2%; South America Crude steel output was 3.9 million tons, an increase of 51.3% year-on-year; crude steel output in the Middle East was 3.6 million tons, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year; crude steel production in the CIS was 8.9 million tons, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year.
